Art & Design Teacher (Starting from August 2025)
Job Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 through to A-Level Art and Design, guiding students through the curriculum while encouraging innovative thinking and artistic exploration. The ideal applicant will have experience teaching across all key stages and a passion for inspiring students to develop their creative talents.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons in Art and Design across multiple Key Stages.
Develop and implement engaging curriculum materials that cater to diverse learning styles.
Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity and critical thinking.
Provide constructive feedback to students on their work, encouraging improvement and personal growth.
Organise and supervise extracurricular activities, including art clubs and exhibitions.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall arts programme and share best practices.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current trends in art education and practice.
Engage with parents and guardians to support student progress and achievement.
Qualifications and Experience
A relevant degree in Art and Design or a related field.
PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Proven experience teaching Art and Design across all key stages, particularly at GCSE and A-Level.
Strong knowledge of the Cambridge assessment framework and curriculum.
A bonus if candidates possess strong skills in sculpture or three-dimensional art forms, though this is not a requirement.
