Job Summary:
The Enterprise Risk Management team sits under Group Risk Management Division as the second line of defense in the organization. The successful candidate will be working with a team of four focusing on the implementation of operational resilience framework in the organization. Such framework upon completion will be used to facilitate incident and change management across the organization. Moreover, he/she will be involved with change initiatives in the organization to ensure business proposal has exercised thorough risk considerations.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will join the Enterprise Risk Management team, as part of the 2nd line, and contribute in advancing the Group’s operational risk management capabilities specifically in operational resilience framework implementation and the assessment of change risk management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management framework, with particular focus on operational resilience, ensuring ongoing engagement across the business to identify risks and issues and reporting to senior management;
- Collaborate with 1st line business/risk and control owners to manage change risk across the organization with reference to the operational resilience framework;
- Contribute to the 2nd line review of key initiatives to ensure both market and operational readiness;
- Embed 1st line risk management responsibilities across business lines including risk identification, assessment and reporting requirements;
- Manage the data quality of risk and controls information from 1st line business/risk owners to ensure reliability;
- Monitor and advise on 1st line risk scenario analysis and control testing;
- Provide constructive challenge and validation of 1st line risk and controls assessments;
- Facilitate prioritization of risk mitigation actions and monitor the execution progress of action plans;
- Ensure appropriate documentation and validation supporting the closure of risk items;
- Support the annual refresh process of risk appetite statements and tolerances with the 1st line business/risk owners; and
- Promote consistency of risk management practices and foster a strong risk culture across the HKEX Group entities;
Requirements:
- Degree educated, preferably with a professional qualification in risk;
- Understanding of capital markets with ability to perform rigorous analysis of quantitative and qualitative factors;
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in Enterprise or Operational risk management in financial institutions. Candidates with less experience may be considered for an Associate role.
- Prior experience in implementing operational resilience frameworks will be considered an advantage;
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities;
- Excellent analytical, planning and organisational skills;
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality;
- Able to prioritise and work independently;
- Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools such as Visio, Power BI, or Tableau is a plus;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) is essential; and
- A proactive team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
