About the Role
As the Class Teacher, you will guide a group of children through their first year of primary school, laying a strong foundation for their learning and growth. You’ll bring lessons to life through storytelling, the arts, nature, and hands-on activities, all grounded in the Waldorf approach.
Key Responsibilities
· Teach and plan engaging lessons based on the Waldorf curriculum
· Build a caring and inclusive class community
· Support each child’s academic, emotional, and social development
· Work closely with colleagues and parents in a warm and respectful way
· Join in school life through meetings, events, and festivals
· Continue learning and growing as a teacher through professional development
The Ideal Candidate Will:
· Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher
· Have completed recognised Waldorf teacher training
· Have at least 2 years of teaching experience
· Be fluent in English
· Love working with children and supporting their development
About Forest House Waldorf School
Forest House Waldorf School is a non-profit school in the peaceful community of Sai Kung. We are the first Waldorf primary school in Hong Kong registered with the Education Bureau and are recognised by the International Forum for Steiner/Waldorf Education (Hague Circle), and as an associate member of Steiner Education Australia.
