The role is to support the Design team in a full range of product development and design functions of the assigned product line.
Responsibilities:
- Design and sketch womenswear collections, focusing on bottoms and formal shirts.
- Prepare Tech Packs and develop detailed specifications for sample orders, including electronic spec drawings and production drawings.
- Source and select fabrics, trims, and accessories that align with design concepts.
- Prepare presentation boards and accessory charts for internal and external meetings.
- Conduct market and trend research to inform design decisions and keep the brand relevant.
- Occasionally visit factories to oversee production processes and ensure quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Fabric team on research and selection of materials.
- Work closely with the Technician and Production team during sample fittings.
- Attend key product meetings, presenting the line to buyers and stakeholders.
- Assist in the development of both initial and final design concepts.
Requirements:
- Diploma or above in Fashion Design, Textile & Clothing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of fashion design or product development experience, preferably in womenswear, with experience in both cut & sewn and woven items.
- Strong understanding of fashion trends, new materials, fabrics, and accessories.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with sound PC knowledge.
- Good command of written and spoken English & Chinese (Cantonese is a must).
- A youthful, energetic approach to design and collaboration.
- Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Designer
