Full-time Speech Language Pathologist (at the rank of Executive Officer) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 532765)
Applications are invited for the captioned post. The successful candidate will be involved in a specific research project related to swallowing management in older adults.
Applicants should:
- hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in science in speech-language pathology
- be a qualified Speech Language Pathologist in Hong Kong
- preferably have experience in the elderly clinical setting
- work independently in a multidisciplinary team and with external parties including social service groups
- be responsible, organized, self-motivated, hardworking and capable of multi-tasking
- be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese preferred)
- possess good interpersonal and communication skills
Job duties:
- deliver clinical components of a research project related to swallowing, including data collection and collation, report preparation and database management
- conduct assessments and treatments in Residential Care Homes for the Elderly
- organize project events
- perform other duties as assigned
The appointment will commence as soon as possible and end on 31 August 2027, on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity.
