The Role
The Head of Cyber, Asia is a senior leadership role within FINEX line of business. This position is central to driving Willis’ growth strategy across Asia, with a strong focus on strategic broking, market engagement, and client leadership. The successful candidate will be a results-driven executive with a proven ability to build high-performance teams, foster strong market and client relationships, and deliver strategic impact. The candidate will bring deep expertise in cyber risk and broking, along with strong leadership and commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities includes:
- Champion Willis’ vision: Asia’s best Risk Advisor, Specialty Broker, and Client Partner.
- Full ownership of the Cyber Asia P&L, ensuring financial performance and strategic alignment.
- Lead and manage a high-performing Cyber team across Asia, fostering collaboration and excellence.
- Drive strategic cyber broking initiatives, including:
- Development and utilization of facilities
- Strategic carrier partnerships
- Digital trading strategies
- Collaborate closely with the Global Cyber team to implement global initiatives at the regional level.
- Provide strategic advice and maintain strong relationships with key cyber clients across Asia.
- Lead the client retention and sales strategy for Cyber across Asia, aligned with country-level CRB priorities.
- Ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives across markets in the region.
- Develop and articulate a comprehensive Cyber Consulting proposition tailored for the Asia region
Client Leadership & Advisory
- Directly manage a select portfolio of large, complex, and strategic Cyber accounts.
- Act as a senior technical resource across all Cyber clients, participating in high-level client communications, meetings, and negotiations.
- Support Claims team in complex claims matters to ensure optimal client outcomes.
Market Engagement & Innovation
- Maintain and deepen senior-level relationships with key market participants.
- Lead the analysis and evaluation of emerging products and forms in the marketplace.
- Oversee the development of innovative marketing materials, quarterly market updates, and bespoke client solutions.
- Drive the creation of new products tailored to evolving client needs and emerging exposures.
- Work closely with Risk and Analytics articulate a comprehensive Cyber Consulting proposition tailored for the Asia region
Strategic Growth & Representation
- Define and execute the growth strategy for the Cyber division, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Represent Willis on industry panels, webinars, and social media platforms to enhance market presence and thought leadership.
Leadership & Governance
- Set strategic goals and objectives for the Cyber team in Asia.
- Support operational governance, risk management, and decision-making processes across the business.
- Foster collaboration with other Country Leadership and other LOBs to ensure alignment and synergy.
Compliance & Risk
- Ensure full adherence to WTW’s policies, procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
The Requirements
- 8+ years of insurance broking experience, ideally in Cyber and/or Financial Lines
- Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of Asia insurance markets and regional dynamics
- Proven track record in client service and new business development
- Experience managing complex placements and navigating technical negotiations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to deliver concise insights
- Demonstrated leadership and team management (direct and matrix)
- Results-driven, solution-oriented, and able to lead change effectively
- Comfortable representing the firm in industry forums, panels, and media
