Job Description
The Immigration Paralegal will assist in handling, and advising on, both inbound and outbound immigration matters for multi-national and individual clients by:
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of visa applications including drafting relevant documents, liaising with the immigration authorities and undertaking necessary research
- Liaising with clients in relation to visa requirements and process, status, logistics and general queries / follow up
- Using the firm’s case management system and managing client files to progress applications and other client work in a timely way
- Monitoring material changes to immigration policies in Hong Kong and assist with researching and drafting relevant communications
- Undertaking other ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
- Maintaining database for clients' immigration information (e.g. expiration of visa/entry permits, travel documents)
- Assisting with engagement portfolio
Requirements:
- Tertiary education
- Relevant immigration experience in relation to Hong Kong and/or other countries
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and preferably Mandarin
- Able to work independently and use initiative and problem solving skills as well as work collaboratively as a member of a team
- Able to deal with a diverse range of clients and manage priorities, always with a commitment to client service.
