Major Duties:
(a)
To perform teaching duties including student assessment, and operating and maintaining training facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning;
(b)
To provide support in programme operations;
(c)
To prepare and update teaching and assessment materials;
(d)
To assist in programme development and review of programme curriculum;
(e)
To perform duties in relation to student administration including student admission and records, job placement and other student activities;
(f)
To assist in procurement of training facilities and equipment;
(g)
To assist in coordinating / organising special events and competitions; and
(h)
To implement quality assurance policies.
Requirements:
(a)
A recognised higher diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, or relevant disciplines;
(b)
At least 3 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry;
(c)
Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua;
(d)
The ability to work independently and be a good team player;
(e)
The ability to pass a trade test; and
(f)
Candidates with hands-on experience and/or knowledge in one or more of the following area(s) would be an advantage:
(i)
Avionics repair;
(ii)
Composite material repair for aircraft components;
(iii)
Sheet metal repair for aircraft components; and
(iv)
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques.
Notes:
(1)
Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirement (a) above but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
(2)
Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
