COLLEGE OF INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION
Established in 2000, the College of International Education (CIE) is a self-funded unit of the Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), offering full-time Associate Degree (AD), Higher Diploma (HD) and Undergraduate (UG) Honours Degree Programmes at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus. It is a major education providing unit of the School of Continuing Education (SCE), one of the Faculties/Schools of HKBU. CIE currently enrolls over 3,500 students and is committed to the University’s mission of providing quality whole-person higher education with a Christian heritage. English is used as the medium of instruction at the College. Applications are now invited for the following position:
Lecturer I / Lecturer II in Marketing (25260031)
Responsibilities:
The appointee is expected to assume responsibilities in programme leadership and administration. Candidates should have substantial experience in programme design, quality assurance, and programme management. In addition to these duties, the appointee will be involved in teaching relevant disciplines, providing academic advising to students, organising and coordinating experiential learning activities, undertaking admission-related responsibilities, and supporting the ongoing review and enhancement of curricula and programmes.
Requirements:
Applicants should have a higher degree, preferably a doctorate in Marketing or relevant disciplines and at least three years relevant teaching experience at tertiary level. Applicants must show dedication and strong commitment to teaching and education within and beyond the classroom. They must also be a good team player with excellent communication skills. Applicants should have a strong link with industries and professional bodies and relevant professional qualifications.
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer II.
Reference salary range:
Lecturer I : HK$51,000 - HK$86,000
Lecturer II : HK$38,000 - HK$53,000
The appointee will work at the Shek Mun (Shatin) campus.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract ending in August 2027. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
