This role’s key responsibility is to support the Category Director of Global Marketing by managing the assigned global product category to meet commercial KPIs; top-line, market share, brand equity, gross margin and marketing contribution.
To support the go-to-market marketing plan for new product launches as well as annual business planning. Support the capability development of junior marketing staff in the global marketing team.
Responsibilities:
Work with the markets (RSOs/BPS) and Marketing Intelligence team in providing updated category analysis as key inputs for Annual Marketing planning
Review the performance of existing & new product
Define strategic role of the category and the products via strategic analysis, clear product concept, impactful marketing plans, and assessment of results
Provide strategic recommendations and management of assigned Global 3 years product innovation portfolio roadmap
Provide campaign (objective) brief for the designated product project
Support Global Brand team in providing timely feedback regarding communication assets
Provide constructive feedback to help RSO/BPs in developing Go-to-market marketing for new product launches (Marketing mix management, Brand communication including Digital)
Promote and share marketing best practices and global category insights among the markets to improve go-to-market strategic plan
Share & upsell global product strategic plan in a timely and constructively manner
Build a collaborative relationship with both cross functional teams & RSO/BP
Requirement:
Bachelor degree in Marketing or Business Management or related fields
At least 8 years of Product Marketing experience in FMCG/Electronics/Consumer goods industry with at least regional responsibilities
Minimum 6 years of managerial experience
Good understanding of brand strategies (e.g product portfolio, consumer communication like digital behaviors)
With strategic mindset, as well as being hands-on in setting and executing the strategy
Being knowledgeable in commercial and financial analysis
Being creative and yet adopt fact-based approach for decision-making or problem solving
Knowledgeable on the consumers needs, technology and competition benchmark
A good team player with good communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua
Microsoft office and basic PC skills required
Being able to travel
Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Manager, Category Marketing.
