The Role
The Post Sale Services team is dedicated to provide our clients with timely, complete and accurate answers to post sale transactional queries. This role is to ensure thorough completion of these services from auction and payment - through to final shipping/collection and delivery of their property.
Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
1. Post Sale Services
- Be the primary and proactive point of contact/subject matter expert for our clients from either external or internal sources– whether that be face-to-face, over the phone, email or other digital channel.
- Be accountable for all post-sale related issues and queries of global auction sites, e.g., invoicing, shipping quotes, settlement.
- Own client issues through to resolution. Assist in gathering and recording positive and constructive client feedback.
- Escalate issues raised by clients with proposed resolutions to Post Sale Services Management in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts, i.e., Art Transport, Business Support, Client Accounting, and Legal to resolve issues.
- Assist the Client Services & Bids team during live auctions, if and when necessary, e.g., paddle registration, bids entry, live clerk.
- Other duties as assigned by seniors or supervisors.
2. Payment, Collection & Shipping
- Handle incoming funds received via all methods of payment.
- Have good knowledge of all methods of payment, credit facilities, cheque approval facilities, exchange rates, payment, collection, and shipping at different Christie’s locations, VAT, Sales Tax, and consignment tax.
- Handle Post Sale inbox enquiries as allocated by seniors/supervisors.
- Handle enquiries and arrangements for lot collection, shipment charges, storage charges, and delivery.
- Work closely with the support department to ensure smooth coordination of lot release/collection to clients.
The Candidate
- BA/BS and/or 2-3 years of client-facing experience preferred
- Hospitality, luxury hotel/retail experience preferable
- Ability to work well as a team and promote team effectiveness
- High degree of organization with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow up promptly
- Willingness to accept assignments with a positive attitude
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
- Flexible working hours when required, including evening and weekend sale coverage
- Strong knowledge of Excel and Outlook
- Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
