Provides supply chain management and leadership, is people facing, comfortable with challenging situations with exec/client level internal/external stakeholders/leaders.
Develops team strategies and implements, manages and monitors the delivery of team goals and KPIs.
The individual develops their own and team strategies, implement, managing, monitoring them cradle to grave to deliver goals and performance KPIs. Provides team leadership on portfolio workstreams and initiatives. Works as part of wider commercial team and liaises with IPMO and client regional teams, procurement category leads and supply chain.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Reviews forecast spend and pipeline across key project types and regions/markets to understand impact on supply chain.
- Performing supply chain analysis throughout regional markets and spend categories, to ensure resilience and capacity for capital works projects.
- Making recommendations to the client's SLT to overcome supply chain risks, including diversification and performance management with key suppliers.
- Working with management delivery partners (MDP) to ensure supply chain is working effectively and correct contract arrangements are in place.
- Applying the client's global objectives such as streamlining their supply chain, standardization of approach across multiple regions and Sustainability initiatives.
- Support in ad-hoc requests for reviews into high spend/volume categories for certain project types, such as branch refurbishment, furniture/carpet global agreements.
- Support the client's in their procurement planning for extension of agreements/re-tenders where required.
- Hosting the supply chain working group (SCWG), working with the client's UK and global procurement teams, to work through key procurement initiatives, common pain points and to collectively agree and propose strategic solutions.
- Manages team, providing leadership, direction, coaching and performance management.
- Utilizes comprehensive functional expertise and knowledge in relationship management contributing to the delivery of strategic objectives.
- Coordinates due diligence requirements and deploys understanding of the organization and markets for portfolio.
- Contributes to and improves processes, performance and commercial activity creating value add.
- Accountable for plan development and implementation including embedding, monitoring and delivering via others.
- Showcases leadership traits, management opportunities, acts as behavioral role model.
- Delivers on objectives and KPIs for portfolio including when faced with challenges on time and budget. Develops and maintains internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Identifies key business/process improvements implementing improvement plans.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
