Production Manager (Yuen Long)

Nestle Hong Kong is seeking a talented and experienced Production Manager to join our team in Yuen Long. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective production operations within our manufacturing facility. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products to our customers. This role will directly report to our Factory Manager.

What you'll be doing

• Ensure that finished products are consistently manufactured meeting prescribed standards (compliant), on time and meeting consumer expectations

• Effectively manage the DOR, ensure exchange of information (cascade Target/escalate issues) for alignment with the objectives in the short term and WOR, MOR for medium and long term to achieve production plan and to identify and achieve performance improvements. Motivate, guide, support and coach the resources to achieve objectives and to act in accordance with TPM 7+4 guidelines.

• Maintain a safe working environment in compliance with the local laws striving for Zero accidents through continuous coaching on safety behaviors.

• Elaborate and execute workforce development program that will provide appropriate flexibility of workforce and assets. Focus on material availability, finished goods quality, and on time delivery through optimal resource allocation

• Lead a continuous improvement/employee involvement culture through NCE approach. Drive for excellence and support operators and staff in their tasks.

• Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and team in order to develop them to their full potential and to achieve objectives in accordance with TPM7+4 guidelines. Ensure succession plans and development - coaching of direct reports (where applicable) including development of specific training.

• Ensure ongoing smooth operation of factory through employee and industrial relations

• Ensure the timely launch of new products to the Market as per agreement with the business units

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree with technical education background e.g. Engineering, Food Science, or other related fields

• At least 5 years of experience in a production management role, highly preferably in food manufacturing industry

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective production plans and strategies

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with ability to identify and resolve production-related issues

• Excellent leadership and people management skills, able to motivate people and develop a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead projects and foster collaboration across departments

• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and regulatory requirements in the manufacturing industry

• Totally committed to the manufacture of safe and compliant products and display a strong work ethic, integrity and honesty

• Proficient in data analysis and reporting, able to use relevant software and tools

• Fluent Cantonese, English, and Mandarin; Good written English and Chinese
