We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Client Acquisition Manager to join our Banking division in Hong Kong. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and onboarding Ultra High Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs) interested in establishing banking relationships with Mashreq Private Banking division in UAE for their UAE banking & wealth management needs.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding our Hong Kong corridor and international client base by leveraging their network, industry expertise and deep understanding of financial solutions tailored to sophisticated investors.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and acquire new HNIs/ UHNI clients.
- Actively source leads through personal, professional networks, high-profile events, external partnerships with Tax Consultants, Accounting firms, Lawyers, Corporate Service Providers, IFAs, EAMs and other market referrals.
- Serve as the primary contact for prospective clients throughout the acquisition and onboarding process.
- Assist clients in the onboarding process through assistance in form filling, collection of detailed client information, KYC documents and preparing the onboarding pack and sending to the central onboarding team in UAE.
- Arrange Zoom/Teams calls between prospects and the assigned Relationship Manager in Mashreq UAE for detailed information on products and services available in UAE.
- Coordinate with central Proposition / business development team in the UAE to ensure efficient and accurate onboarding.
- Maintain strong partnerships with internal departments to ensure a seamless client experience from acquisition to account activation.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant postgraduate certification is a strong asset.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, or a similar client-facing role and/or acquisition roles focused on UHNIs in Hong-Kong
- Proven track record of successful UHNI client acquisition.
- Sound understanding of wealth management products and solutions.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong and cross-border regulatory frameworks (e.g., CRS, FATCA, AML/CFT)
- Must be Fluent in Cantonese and English.
