PURPOSE
The Group Platforms team is responsible for identifying, defining, and managing digital product platforms and technologies to fulfil business objectives.
The Group Platforms team operates across FWD Group to:
Collaborate with functions to drive the design conceptualisation and development of new business platforms, provide digital product platform management and distribution partner digital solutions.
Evolve digital product platform development roadmaps and collaborate on solution design to achieve optimal business outcomes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead multiple workstreams for the customer website platform (applications) and customer servicing digital dashboard to maximise customer servicing linking and impacting digital adoption and straight through processing
Digital product management and delivery of a single digital platform solution across the multiple markets (Regional digital Platform) with considering scalability and re-usability
Lead the product management and execution of the digital platform through extracting business priorities and fulfilling business needs at the regional level
Writes product specs/stories for major platform to deliver with no bugs on time with achieving successful business metrics
Proficiently engage with country business unit stakeholders as well as communicate with senior stakeholders at both country and group in relation to the digital platform
Demonstrate good and relevant application of design thinking methodologies towards the insights gathering of the platform, working effectively with assigned digital platform UX/UI team members.
Support appropriate decisions to ensure digital platforms are planned to support scalability, reliability and efficiency in maintenance across the regional markets.
Lead and coach Agile practices through design and execution efforts of the specific digital platform initiative
Ability to gather and document complex user and technical requirements, translate these to multiple business rules and logic specifications, organized within the scrum framework, and able to lead and execute with wider/cross functional technical development teams, and local QA teams.
Technically savvy to work closely with developers, understanding their technical capabilities and constraints
Implement squad strategyg from expertise in platform, features, product
Generate high value from user feedback that strongly influence platform direction
Ensure co-ordination design, development and deployment plans with business functions and technology solutions delivery teams.
Assess customer/users feedback and prioritize quick fix optimizations and longer-term strategic fixes
Develop, create and maintain a digital roadmap for the assigned digital platform
Define and drive for relevant digital platform performance that contributing to regional and local BUs business performance metrics.
Apply business acumen to extract insights from the digital dashboard, and drive initiatives and decisions s from the data insights
Strongly oriented towards results and delivering a high standard of digital platforms. Shares an inner drive that overcomes obstacles and appropriately leverages work-around solutions in order to remove impediments to the digital platform delivery
Able to mentor colleagues and team members on the Scrum environment and processes via the conduct of platform initiative.
Embed emerging technologies and techniques to optimize business benefits and improve operational efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
University degree in Business, or Information Technology or equivalent area
10+ years’ working experience in which 6+ years' in Financial Services. eCommerce / InsurTech-Fintech / Start-up environment experience, will be advantageous
Expertise in digital best practices and its applicability to lifestyle and financial services.
Experience and proven results in product management and delivery of a digital platform
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
Business Knowledge
Broad understanding of the insurance and technology industry, including current and emerging financial services, lifestyle, operations, and technology trends
Able to partner engagement for ideation and problem-solving facilitation with stakeholders. Relevant application of design thinking methodologies that are aligned to achieving business performance metric needs.
Appreciate the business applications of emerging technologies and practices; applicable knowledgebase of DevOps, Cloud, Microservices and Mobile development to ensure feasibility and relevant conversations during solution planning.
Technical Skills
Skilled in Agile Software delivery (Scrum or similar)
Proven record of Product Backlog management (using JIRA or something similar)
Strong understanding of technology concepts and developer languages
Good in facilitating people/customer centric design thinking and relevant application to digital platform requirements
Commercially Savvy to ensure identification and development of digital platform improvements to meet the business and users’ needs.
Build prototypes with UX/UI designers with data driven approach using analytics
