THE JOB:
The Peak Performance Kineticist will be responsible for managing and enhancing performance through data analysis and performance testing. The role involves regular assessment of performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance overall performance.
Daily tasks include collecting and analyzing performance data, creating reports, conducting
performance tests, and collaborating with other team members to develop and execute performance management strategies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Private Lessons: Provide one-on-one lessons to players of all ages and standards.
- Group Training: Assist, prepare, and lead group training sessions for players of all ages and standards.
- Tournament Coaching: Provide coaching for our players during tournaments, which may involve traveling across the country.
- Event Organization: Assist in organizing tournaments and other events.
- Administrative Work: Occasionally handle administrative tasks such as planning and player management.
- Role Model: Act as a role model for our High Performance Academy, fostering a can-do mentality and contributing to the success of both coaches and athletes.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the team to enhance athletes' performance, covering topics from squash training and performance to mindset and emotion management.
- Facility Maintenance: Work with other coaches to maintain the facility as if it were our home.
- Junior Development: Support and develop weekend lessons and clinics, focusing on developing junior players from beginners to performance levels.
- Client Relationships: Perform private lessons, deliver engaging junior group clinics, play doubles with adult members, run tournaments, correspond with clients, and build relationships with DAY Sports's clientele.
- Weekend Tournaments: Travel to weekend tournaments with players and provide a full range of coaching needs.
- Team Collaboration: Work in conjunction with the owner and the rest of the team for seamless execution of tasks and goals.
Qualifications :
- University degree in related field or degree holder
- At least 10 years’ coaching work experience of which 5 years in overseas countries fitness facilities is plus
- Analytical Skills and Data Analysis experience
- Performance Management and Testing skills
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience in sports science, kinesiology, or related discipline is a plus
- Have an in -depth knowledge of Professional Squash Association (PSA) knowledge of required squash movements
- Relevant experience in peak performance or related fields
- Strong proven experience in training elite squash players/football/soccer players
- Proven experience in strength and conditioning coaching, preferably with a focus on squash.
- Ability to provide personalized coaching and adapt to the needs of players of all ages and standards.
- Willingness to travel as required for tournament coaching.
- A positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
