Job Description

• Plan, design, implement and evaluate student developmental programmes including the liaison with external organisations for arrangement of collaborative projects;
• Provide social and emotional counselling services for students and parents as individuals and groups;
• Provide social competence training programs for students with ASD/ADHD at schools;
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential records;
• Maintain and monitor effective referral mechanisms, both for teachers and students;
• Liaise and communicate with service providers and EDB on service implementation;
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• Hold a Bachelor Degree or above in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or Education (Majoring in Special Needs);
• 1-2 years of relevant experience;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Self-motivated, well-organized and a team player;
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
• An openness to different cultural sensitivities and approaches to well-being;
• Ability to work empathetically with children to support their social and emotional needs.

** Candidates with experience in youth work / student service / education sector / special educational needs (SEN) service will be an advantage.
