Job Description
- Plan, design, implement and evaluate student developmental programmes including the liaison with external organisations for arrangement of collaborative projects;
- Provide social and emotional counselling services for students and parents as individuals and groups;
- Provide social competence training programs for students with ASD/ADHD at schools;
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential records;
- Maintain and monitor effective referral mechanisms, both for teachers and students;
- Liaise and communicate with service providers and EDB on service implementation;
- Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Hold a Bachelor Degree or above in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or Education (Majoring in Special Needs);
- 1-2 years of relevant experience;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills;
- Self-motivated, well-organized and a team player;
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese;
- An openness to different cultural sensitivities and approaches to well-being;
- Ability to work empathetically with children to support their social and emotional needs.
** Candidates with experience in youth work / student service / education sector / special educational needs (SEN) service will be an advantage.
