Your Role
Reporting to the Head of Group Taxation, the Group seeks an Tax Manager, to manage tax advisory, reporting, and compliance across the Group. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing tax provisions, reconciliations, effective tax rates, and current and deferred tax balance sheet accounts while ensuring accurate measurement of unrecognized tax benefits.
- Managing external service providers throughout the tax compliance process for the Group's domestic and international operations.
- Collaborating with other departments to evaluate and implement tax internal controls, ensuring compliance with all external reporting requirements.
- Managing tax risks, inquiries, disputes, and litigations for Group entities worldwide.
- Providing tax support for mergers and acquisitions, disposals, reorganizations, due diligence, and other transactions.
- Managing transfer pricing for the Group, including Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR), Master File, and Local files.
- Advising internal stakeholders on the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) 2.0 framework and managing necessary changes within the Group.
- Initiating and implementing strategies to optimize cash tax positions and manage tax risks.
- Adopting and implementing tax technology tools, including AI-powered tools, to enhance accuracy and efficiency, and to streamline tax operations.
- Assisting the Group in formulating tax policies and providing advocacy support in jurisdictions where the Group has significant operations.
To succeed this role
- Holds a university degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Possesses over 8 years of experience in tax departments within recognized professional service firms and/ or multinational enterprises.
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Hong Kong and international taxation
- Is familiar with the BEPS/ BEPS 2.0 framework.
- Exhibits strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Is an excellent team player, independent, organized, and capable of working under pressure.
- Can manage significant projects simultaneously and independently under tight deadlines.
- Is proficient in spoken and written English.
