Responsibilities:
- Develop a business plan and sales priorities for the Transpacific East Bound Trade Lane.
- Lead procurement and pricing activities for the Trade Lane, directly engaging with carrier partners.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities and explore growth potential within existing accounts.
- Build a client base and enhance understanding of competitors and market intelligence.
- Formulate and coordinate development opportunities to actively promote products for the Trade Lane.
- Initiate and maintain dialogue with key decision makers regarding products and draft a trade development strategy.
- Close sales and support the implementation process by coordinating with operations, customer service, and relevant management teams.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout all stages and achieve operational profit and growth targets.
- Ensure KPIs are accurately managed and monitored.
- Take the lead in preparing the annual Trade Lane budget.
- Travel regularly between Asia and the Americas.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management or Freight Management qualification.
- Proven experience in Ocean freight forwarding and Trade Lane management,
- Expert knowledge of the Transpacific Trade Lanes, customs regulations, and supply chain processes.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Proficiency in using logistics software and systems, including shipment tracking, warehouse management, and documentation tools.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, with Mandarin speaking and writing skills being highly advantageous.
