Responsible for KYC/AML activities associated with new client onboarding, existing Corporate and Retail Banking clients periodic CDD review, trigger event CDD, name screening and sanctions in full compliance with Bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Managing the end-to-end process of new account requests, including case review and follow-through until account setup is completed.
Review a wide range of account opening and client documentation submitted by frontline to ensure accuracy, completeness and in line with the Bank's compliance and KYC requirements and well as the regulatory requirements.
Review clients' source of wealth (SOW) profiles, conduct background checks, and verify supporting documents to ensure proper corroboration of SOW.
Ensure accurate data entry and proper document upload into the onboarding system.
Deliver KYC/AML related projects and support technology initiatives that impact KYC/AML and associated processes.
Work as a team and collaborate with all relevant departments to ensure the business operations are complying with the AML requirements.
Support internal audit, regulatory inspections and ad hoc assignments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines.
At least 5 years of experience in account opening/ account reviews including KYC / SOW review within the financial services industry. Preferably within the Corporate and Retail Banking industries.
Good knowledge of banking products and solid understanding of anti-money laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) and related HKMA regulations, practices and guidelines would be an advantage.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
A good team player with strong business acumen and analytical skills.
Proven mechanics of various analyses to support detection and prevention initiatives.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua is preferable.
