We are seeking a creative and driven Associate Product Designer to join our team in developing innovative toys that inspire play and imagination.
Key Responsibilities
- Product research and analysis – Evaluate trends and consumer insights to identify new play experiences for kids of all ages
- Concept design and ideation - Develop innovative new products and play patterns through collaborative team brainstorming and exploration
- Design sketching and rendering – Create holistic product design through sketches, renderings, control drawings, material selection and color specifications
- Sculpture monitoring and model making – Work with model shops to create aesthetic and functional models
- Product features creation through written documents and diagrams and use of edge-cutting technologies
- 2D and 3D presentation materials preparation for internal and external meetings
- Visual communication and internal presentation of ideas and designs
- Management of product design throughout the development process
- Work closely with a global team of designers, engineers, vendors as well as manufacturers
Requirements
- Degree holder in Design or related disciplines, industrial design preferable
- 1-2 years working experience in product design, ideally in toy and entertainment industry
- Good sketching and drafting skills (by hand and computer)
- Proficiency in design software like Photoshop, Illustrator, SolidWorks, or ZBrush
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects
- Excellent command of English; fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is a plus
- Willingness to travel occasionally
- Hands-on experience with prototyping is an advantage
- Fresh Graduates with strong portfolios will also be considered
