Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct effective, objective, risk-based compliance monitoring activities in line with the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan, ensuring thorough and actionable assessments.
- Identify potential or actual regulatory risks stemming from compliance monitoring results, and proactively propose recommendations to relevant stakeholders to mitigate these risks.
- Conduct comprehensive compliance reviews as outlined in the plan and when requested by the Manager or Local Compliance Officer (LCO), ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the bank's compliance risk control framework, pinpointing key deficiencies and assessing their implications on operations.
- Provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders for mitigating identified compliance risks and enhancing the overall control environment.
- Collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of compliance and ensure the successful implementation of compliance initiatives.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting compliance findings and potential areas for improvement.
- Lead compliance training sessions to enhance staff understanding of regulatory obligations and promote a proactive compliance mindset.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, CISA) are a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in compliance, operational risk management, risk control functions, and/or internal audit within the banking sector.
- Sound knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the banking industry.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Independent, self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
