Clinical Practitioner in the Faculty of Dentistry (Ref.: 532861)
We are looking for a Clinical Practitioner to join the Faculty of Dentistry for the Jockey Club Children Oral Health Project.
The Role
The appointee will assist the Project Manager in the management and operation of the Jockey Club Children Oral Health Project. He/she will deliver outreach dental services for pre-school children, including emergency pain relief, conduct oral health education talks and training for parents, teachers, and caregivers, and provide individual counselling to pre-school children and families. He/she will also evaluate project impact and contribute to research on community dental services, and assume high-level service/administrative responsibilities.
He/she may be required to work off-campus on weekends and outside office hours to support outreach activities. Enquiries about the duties of the post should be sent to Professor C.H. Chu at [email protected].
Qualifications and Qualities
- A Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent;
- A good track record of continuing professional education or a Master of Dental Surgery degree (MDS) or equivalent;
- Registered dental licensure with sound clinical experience;
- Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity to serve diverse communities;
- Fluency in Cantonese and English; and
- Experience in community outreach programs, particularly with pediatric populations, and proven track records in research or public health initiatives related to children’s oral health would be desirable.

The appointment will commence as soon as possible until August 31, 2026 on a full-time temporary contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
