FERRING HONG KONG – Commercial Sales Head
Job Description
The Commercial Sales Head is responsible for leading the commercial sales team to execute sales
strategies for achieving sales budgets and targets for the company. Also, the position is required to
managing conducive connections with key external experts, healthcare professionals and internal
stakeholders in the related to the relevant therapeutic areas that Ferring aims to achieve its mission
for patients’ benefits. In addition, the position is also responsible for building and formulating effective
business strategies with marketing and medical functions.
Main Job Responsibilities
1. Achieving sales budgets and targets
2. Making sales budget and sales plans for short term and long term - Planning, Review and Control
3. Executing & Implementing plans (including pricing, distribution channels), as per budget and
forecast and delegating team members, coordinating product life cycles with marketing function
4. Selecting, Assessing and Coaching and Motivating Team members, Managing their training
requirements and development needs
5. Identifying new opportunities in Market, making appropriate strategies to counter competitor’s
strategies through market intelligence
6. Managing continuous customer contacts, maintaining smooth relationships with KOLs,
understanding and fulfilling customer needs
7. Acting as liaison role for product studies, budgeting control and allocation of funds, team
development, consistency with Ferring Strategy
8. Attending relevant congresses/seminars/symposia
Requirements
1. At least 10 years working experience in Pharmaceutical/Biomedical/Healthcare industry
2. Bachelor degree or above in Biological, Life or Medical Sciences. Master degree in business /
commerce (e.g. MBA) would definitely be an advantage
3. Experience in therapeutic areas (Reproductive Medicine, Maternal Health, Gastroenterology or
Uro-Oncology) would be an advantage
4. Excellent business acumen and communications skills in both English and Chinese (including
presentations)
5. Proficient leadership with solid experience and strong interpersonal skills and able to
communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
6. Candidate with less experience will be considered for associate position.
