Our client, a prestigious international financial services firm with offices across Asia, is seeking an entrepreneurial and seasonedCapital Markets professionalto establish and lead their expandingDebt Services business.
The Opportunity
This is a platform role for a driven professional to lead and grow the Business Development function in Asia. You will have significant autonomy to shape strategy, drive revenue growth, and build a business with entrepreneurial independence — all while being backed by a global team across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans across Asian markets, with a focus on Chinese banks and bond issuances
- Build and strengthen senior relationships across banks, issuers, funds, and law firms
- Lead origination efforts, prepare and deliver compelling proposals, and close new business mandates
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, raising visibility and generating pipeline opportunities
- Drive BD performance, mentor colleagues, and align with global teams on pricing and strategy
Ideal Profile
- Proven track record in capital markets, debt administration, or corporate trust services in Asia
- Extensive experience in loan agency, security trustee, and debt capital markets transactions
- Strong network with regional and Chinese financial institutions and arrangers
- Fluency in Mandarin or Cantonese preferred for effective engagement with Chinese issuers and banks
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial instincts; self-starter comfortable working with autonomy
