Job Description

What you'll do:

Team Leadership and Project Development
  • Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a collaborative work environment to support local SMEs and start-ups.
  • Carry out the mission of supporting the development and growth of local SMEs and start-ups through different engagement activities

Stakeholder Engagement
  • Identify and address the needs of SMEs through regular interactions with industry associations and stakeholders; collaborate with HKPC's various functions to enhance support opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry and market trends, and identify opportunities to leverage them for business growth and SMEs' benefits
  • Actively develop new industry networks and strengthen the collaboration with local, GBA, and global organisations to enhance HKPC’s strengths in SME and start-up support

Marketing and Project management:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns, including trade shows, seminars, and networking events to promote assigned projects and engage industry stakeholders.
  • Coordinate resources, both internal and external, to manage high-impact industry-wide programmes and projects to achieve the expected performance outcomes
  • Expert on event management, digital marketing, PR

Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification
  • Stay informed about industry trends and leverage them for business growth and benefits for SMEs.

Others
  • Agency/trade association experiences would be an advantage
  • Handle additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the overall mission.

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:
  • Bachelor degree or above from disciplines such as Business Administration, Management, Marketing Communications, Social Science, or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in B2B client management, industry support, relations management, event management or sponsorship preferable
  • Strong leadership, business acumen, and project and client relationship management skills with a visionary mindset
  • Sound relationships with various industries, trade associations, professional institutes, and public bodies
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Putonghua

Note:

2.This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months subject to renewal.

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
