Online English Teacher (Freelance / Part-Time)
Remote – Based in Hong Kong preferred
Flexible hours (evenings and weekends preferred)
Couch Potato Education is seeking a reliable, engaging, and experienced Online English Teacher to take over an existing schedule of 1-to-1 and small group English classes. The successful candidate will teach both children and adults, using provided materials and curriculum support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach English to children and adult learners via Zoom
- Deliver 1-to-1 and small group lessons (2–4 students)
- Use provided teaching materials (with flexibility to adapt)
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback
- Teach general English, conversation skills, and exam prep (IELTS / HKDSE)
Requirements:
- Strong command of spoken and written English
- Cantonese or Mandarin speaking ability (preferred)
- Experience teaching both children and adults
- Familiarity with IELTS and HKDSE exam formats (preferred)
- Confident using Zoom and basic online tools
- TEFL / TESOL / CELTA or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred)
- Professional, punctual, and communicative
Working Hours:
- Freelance, part-time
- Flexible schedule
- Most classes take place on weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends (HKT)
