Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Social Work & Social Administration (Ref.:532697), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Duties
Assist in conducting research projects and be involved in all stages of the research process under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The appointee will be responsible for data collection, participant recruitment, management and analysis of research data. He/she will also assist in the literature review, liaison with collaborators and organisations, and other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree or above in social policy, social work, psychology, or other social sciences disciplines, preferably with one year of working experience as the research assistant in social sciences;
- Excellent project management skills and experience;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in both written and spoken English and Cantonese (native/fluent Cantonese speaker);
- Being hardworking, self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure;
- Excellent academic knowledge and skills in using SPSS or STATA;
- Being comfortable working with older adults;
