Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving research activities towards defined goals in specified timeline
- Processing in experimental data analysis and management
- Drafting proposals, reports and presentations relevant to the projects
- Liaising with project collaborators and partners
- Performing various laboratory administrative duties
- Supporting various teaching & mentoring activities
- Handling other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- A PhD degree in Materials Sciences, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering;
- Preferably with research experience in aqueous zinc-based flow batteries (in particular, the Zn-Fe system, zinc anode/electrolyte engineering);
- Preferably have at least two years of postdoctoral research experience;
- Strong academic publication records in areas related to flow batteries;
- Fluent in English in both writing and verbal communications for research and teaching; clear and concise writing skills;
- Have experience in writing grant proposals;
- Strong teamwork skills, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure;
- With strong passion in conducting fundamental and applied research toward impactful applications;
- Good time management with a strong sense of responsibility and research ethics.
What We Offer
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary.
