Position: Senior Medical & Scientific Affairs Manager (Hongkong), reporting to China Medical & Scientific Affairs lead
Organization: China Medical & Scientific Affairs, within China R&D organization
The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of medical excellence and medical leadership within China Medical & Scientific Affairs, in order to provide strong medical support to Hongkong business results and ensure an effective deployment of Medical Governance framework across Haleon Hongkong business.
Key responsibilities
- Implementation of Hongkong annual medical plan to delivery all objectives/KPIs successfully
- Supporting the China Medical & Scientific Affairs lead in delivering China medical team’s annual goals and objectives
- With oversight from China Medical & Scientific Affairs lead to drive medical communication and data/evidence/new claims generation strategy
- Taking a local medical lead role in Hongkong, to drive medical initiatives’ execution timelines and budget management
- Implementation of KEE and external scientific engagement activities, may act as an interface on behalf of Haleon with external organizations including Health Authorities, Healthcare Organizations, External Experts etc
- With oversight from China Medical & Scientific Affairs lead to support Medical Affairs activities including but not restricted to:
- Input on medical concepts, ethics and consumers safety and well-being,
- Development of accurate, technically supported and business-oriented claims
- Medical input to data collection and analysis of Haleon products and competitors
- Review and evaluation medical approval of promotional materials
Qualifications and skills
Essential
- Master’s degree or above, Major in Medicine/Clinical Nutrition/Food Nutrition Biomedical Science;
- Medical Affairs industry experience (at least 5 years) operating in a commercial environment, preferably in the Pharma, OTC and/or Nutritional space
- Demonstrated business acumen
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills. Proactive, with ability to anticipate and plan, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions and respond to tight timelines
- Ability and eagerness to challenge status quo; make quick decisions; and lead/operate successfully in an empowered organization.
- Strong communication, influencing and negotiations skills. Ability to facilitate alignment and collaboration across groups/regions.
Preferred
- Medical qualification (MD or equiv) or Ph.D degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of strong, multi-discipline experience including clinical development, operations, project management or other functions
