Your future role at QRT:
Join the Data team as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of our real-time data processing infrastructure.Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborate with developers and data users to enhance the overall user experience, with a strong focus on performance, availability and usability
- Design and build automation systems to reduce manual operations, improve deployment processes and enforce best practices across the stack
- Contribute to benchmarking frameworks that evaluate and ensure the efficiency of distributed systems and data pipelines under load
- Develop and maintain tools for real-time monitoring, observability and alerting tailored to the needs of internal users and data services
- Actively participate in incident analysis and resolution, promoting a culture of blameless post-mortems and continuous improvement
Your present skillset:
- Proficiency in at least one prominent server-side programming language: C++, Rust, Java, Python, etc., with an appetite to learn Rust
- Strong interest in infrastructure automation and CI/CD systems
- Proficiency with monitoring stacks (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry) and building custom dashboards/alerts
- Comfortable with Linux-based systems, networking, containerization, and Kubernetes
- Solid grasp of distributed systems, service-level objectives (SLOs), and performance tuning under real-time constraints
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and hybrid deployments
- Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment
- Final-year student or Degree in Computer Science or Engineering field
