We are looking for a Sommelier - Shang Palace based at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong!
As a Sommelier, we rely on you to:
Be responsible for recommending, taking orders and serving wines and other beverages
Recommend food and beverage pairings to ensure and enhance guest satisfaction
Assist Hotel Sommelier to arrange wine dinner events including contract, wine sales proposal and menu wine pairing
Manage updated wine lists, maintain accurate wine sales records and control stock levels for the restaurant
Maintain high standards and professional services in meeting guests' expectations to build rapport
We are looking for someone who has:
Diploma / Degree in Food & Beverage, Wine Study, Hospitality Management or related disciplines
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in fine dining restaurants in prestige hotels or hospitality industry in similar size
Sound knowledge of different wines and spirits
Good organizational and coordination skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Chinese with strong initiative to interact with customers
Well versed with both internet and computer applications
