Position Overview: Jefferies is looking to find a skilled quantitative analyst to join our electronic trading solutions team. This role will focus on developing and optimizing algorithms for our equities business while engaging directly with client to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, optimize and implement tailored quantitative trading algorithms for clients to enhance their trading efficiency and performance.
- Work closely with clients to understanding their trading strategies, scope, and requirements, ensuring we provide them with tailored insights and solutions that leverage our quant capabilities.
- Utilize SQL, R and other programing languages to analyze datasets, identify market trends to support trading decisions.
- Develop scripts to automate trading processes and improve our operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the traders and developers to ensure integration of algos into the trading platform.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of trading strategies, adjust as needed based on client requirements and market conditions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or higher in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, statistics, financial engineering or computer science.
- Significant experience in quantitative analyst, specifically within electronic trading or market making field .
- Proficiency in SQL, R and other programing languages .
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Javacript Etc.
- Strong statistics and mathematic skills
- Ability to face clients, strong communications both verbal and written
- Ability to navigate challenges in a complex and fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English is a must, other languages considered beneficial.
