Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a detailed-oriented AML Manager to enhance and support the Compliance function. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, ensuring the firm's adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for all AML compliance matters and part of regulatory compliance matters.
The ideal candidate will exhibit flexibility and agility while maintaining professionalism, demonstrating a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential challenges in alignment with company objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and review the company's financial crime control policies and rules and regulations in a timely manner, and revise relevant systems in accordance with relevant laws, regulations and internal requirements
- Responsible for interpreting financial crime-related laws and regulations and providing consulting services on the company's relevant rules and regulations
- Coordinate and conduct the regular money laundering risk assessment of the company
- Report and make notes and records of any suspicious transactions or activities in an efficient and timely manner
- Review enhanced customer due diligence (EDD) for high-risk customers in accordance with relevant regulatory requirement
- Develop and implement effective anti-money laundering control processes, structures and systems, develop and implement control optimization and rectification projects and measures based on the inspection findings and suggestions of regulatory agencies, internal and external audit units, and report to management in a timely manner
- Develop an annual financial crime compliance training plan and carry out corresponding training according to the needs of company.
- Handle SFC licensing matters, regulatory inquiries, inspections and investigations
Provide compliance review and advisory
Requirements:
- Degree or above in Law, Accounting, Risk Management, Business Administration or related disciplines, preferably with relevant qualification (e,g. CAMS, AAMLP, CAMLP, FRM, CPA, ACCA, etc.)
- Candidates with 5- 8 years of work experience in anti-money laundering and sanctions compliance in the banking industry, law enforcement, regulatory agencies or big 4 is preferred
- Reasonable knowledge in wealth management products
- Independent, proactive and able to work under pressure with strong ownership, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills (i.e.: solid experience in daily collaboration with various stakeholders)
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects effectively and efficiently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with language proficiency in both English and Chinese
