The Finance Office is looking for an accounting professional with excellent communication skills, strong leadership skills and problem-solving skills to assist management in the daily finance operations. The Assistant Finance Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of staff reimbursement and will report to the Senior Finance Manager.
The job location for this position is the Manulife Financial Centre (MFC) in Kwun Tong.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing analysis and reporting on staff reimbursement and related matters.
- Handling staff reimbursements, including travel, non-travel claims, and review of purchasing cards transactions and ensure compliance with the policies and guidelines of the University.
- Reviewing all year-end, quarterly and monthly accounting entries and post-event reports to ensure accurate and timely accounting.
- Identifying issues / operational risks and providing solutions / on-going improvements to the operation to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Managing enquiries on staff reimbursement and related matters regarding the policies and guidelines of the University.
- Participating in User Acceptance Test and supporting the implementation of system projects in Accounting Operation Unit.
- Performing any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field and a recognized professional accounting qualification with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience preferably in universities/NGOs/sizable organizations.
- Good team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and MS Office, with fluency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability in dynamic environments, able to work independently and efficiently under pressure, responsible, and self-motivated.
- Hands-on experience with ERP system is advantageous.
Duration: 2 years (renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
