About the Role
You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative organization, leading the charge to enhance our organic search performance across thousands of keywords, define the right metrics for GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and AIO (Google AI Overview), and drive sustainable growth in visibility and conversions. You will be responsible for launching impactful programmatic SEO and AI-powered content initiatives, as well as collaborating closely with the team to resolve technical issues. Your leadership will position Bowtie as an industry leader in organic and AI search.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and Drive Strategy: Lead the creation and optimization of effective SEO, GEO, and AIO strategies to boost Bowtie’s organic and AI search visibility.
- Enhance Search Performance: Continuously improve our organic keyword rankings and overall search presence across major platforms, including emerging AI search engines.
- Increase Visibility and Engagement: Identify and execute opportunities to grow our online visibility and drive higher conversion rates through both traditional and generative AI search.
- Launch Content Initiatives: Oversee the planning and execution of programmatic, AI-powered content projects to support business objectives.
- SEO Focus Areas: About 30% of your time will be dedicated to non-blog SEO activities (such as landing pages, product pages, and technical SEO), while approximately 50% will focus on blog SEO (including content strategy, optimization, and performance analysis).
- Resolve Technical Issues: Collaborate with the Customer Growth team to proactively address and fix technical SEO and GEO issues, ensuring the site remains search-optimized.
- Monitor Trends and Metrics: Stay up to date with the latest developments in SEO, GEO, and AIO, defining and tracking relevant metrics to measure success and guide future improvements.
- Foster Team Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, content creators, and marketing stakeholders, and support the training of team members to strengthen internal capabilities in SEO and AI search.
About you
- Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in SEO, GEO, or AIO, with a proven track record of improving organic rankings and visibility.
- Experience using industry-standard SEO/GEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog).
- Hands-on experience generating large-scale content using generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Grok, DeepSeek, Perplexity).
- Strong communication skills; able to work closely with engineers and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent project management skills; able to deliver multiple projects on time.
- Deep knowledge of technical SEO and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues.
