Assistant Programme Officer (at the rank of Clerk II) in the Department of Politics and Public Administration (Ref.: 532835) (to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English; good communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills; the capability to work independently and under tight deadlines; and proficiency in IT. They should be fast learners, good team players, attentive to detail, and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility. Candidates with experience in tertiary institutions will have an advantage.
The appointee will be responsible for providing administrative support to the management of its programmes including admissions, course enrolment, timetabling, examinations, student affairs, event organization and performing any other duties as assigned. Occasional work outside normal office hours or on weekends will be required.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointee will be given the functional title of Assistant Programme Officer.
