Overview
Reporting to Legal Counsel, the Associate Legal Counsel of Legal & Compliance Team, will handle all legal, company secretarial and compliance matters, in relation to the business of Fast Retailing in Hong Kong SAR.
He/she is expected to work closely with the Legal & Compliance Department in Japan and other regions on global legal and compliance matters, as well as the Information Security team in Hong Kong, Japan and other regions on information security matters.
Key Responsibilities
Identify legal risks, and provide practical and low risk legal solutions
Work proactively with different departments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Prepare and review contracts and other legal documentation
Standardize, update and maintain contract templates
Support business teams by negotiating contracts directly with vendors as necessary
Support investigations of suspected misconduct involving employees, and work closely with relevant departments to carry out rectification measures
Educate employees on compliance matters to strengthen their legal and compliance mindset
Key Requirements
Qualified lawyer with a valid practicing certificate in Hong Kong SAR
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience, prior in-house experience would be a plus (but not strictly required)
Experience working in retail sector with strong drafting and negotiation skills is preferable
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment within short deadlines and under time pressure
High flexibility and able to respond and adapt to changing circumstances and expectations
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Positive attitude, detail-minded with a willingness to learn
Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) (written and spoken) is essential, fluency in Japanese a plus
