Role Overview:
RGA HK is looking for a client-focused professional to join our team as a Contract Business Administration Analyst. The department is responsible for the end-to-end processing of Life and Living Benefits treaties/products and the corresponding client data. As one of the vital members of the team, the Analyst will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the RGA administration and claims system. A successful candidate will acquire solid knowledge on both insurance and reinsurance operations and will be able to apply his/her knowledge to ensure smooth processing of client data associated with the respective reinsurance treaties. Further, he or she will be able to contribute to the greatly emphasized team building spirit within the organization and function as an active participant in a team-orientated environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Process data in RGA administration and claim system including daily ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) exercise.
Validate Premium and Claims statements against treaty terms and conditions. Identify and explain the variance to the manager. Take appropriate actions according to the principle and guidelines
Assist compliance tasks to fulfill regulatory requirements.
Analyze treaty information and transform it to match RGA administration system attributes.
Support the business development, pricing, valuation and finance department by performing data extraction, month-end tasks or ad-hoc reports.
Communicate with clients for clarification or to follow up on any outstanding issues.
Requirements:
University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computing Science, Business Administration, Business Analysis or other related disciplines;
1-3 years’ work experience in the financial industry, preferably life insurance/reinsurance;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and database software such as MS Excel (PivotTable, Power Query), SQL related applications;
Capable of using automation tools (e.g. Python, VBA, Power Automate) is a plus;
Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines;
Client focused and a self-starter, driven in pursuit of targets;
Good analytical, problem solving skills;
A positive attitude when dealing with people, shares openly and willingly, demonstrates cooperation and flexibility.
