Your Role
As a Gensler Design Manager, you will leverage your experience in interiors, your attention to detail, and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client projects on time and on budget. You will deploy resources to ensure that the work process flows smoothly and act as the primary liaison between the team and client. This is a great opportunity to join a highly creative, collaborative team while working on trendsetting interiors projects across a variety of industries.
A focus for the role will be building client relationships and driving business opportunities. This role will based in Hong Kong S.A.R..
What You Will Do
- Grow existing client relationships, develop new client relationships, solve client problems
- Implement multiple client projects through the leadership of project teams: Provide leadership to clients and teams by communicating project objectives, contract scope, terms and schedule
- Manage scheduling, budgets, staffing, and project set-up with clients, sub-contractors, vendors and contractors
- Prepare project proposals and negotiate contracts and fees
- Track and manage the financial performance of projects for success (e.g., work plan, schedule, fees, change orders, billings and collections)
- Manage the full project lifecycle; estimating, bidding, project kick-off, weekly coordination, and project close-out
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
- 10 years+ of successful project experience in global service corporate interiors
- Extensive knowledge of interior principles/practices especially in Hong Kong and China
- Good leadership capability and collaboration as a team
- Strong ability in managing fees, schedules and staffing
- Professional license or certification, a plus
- Experience working with marketing, developing proposals
- Good business development skills and ability to develop a network
- Excellent communication skill (both written and spoken) English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Experience with project management software, such as MS Project, a plus
- Working knowledge of Adobe Suites, AutoCAD, Revit a plus
- Able to travel upon request
