Key Responsibilities:
- Execute and manage trading activities, including market-making, pricing, and hedging in the Hong Kong market.
- Monitor market trends, volatility, and liquidity to identify trading opportunities and manage risks effectively.
- Develop and implement trading strategies to optimize profitability while maintaining risk within predefined limits.
- Work closely with risk management and compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal policies, HKEX regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
- Utilize trading systems, analytics tools, and proprietary models to monitor positions, assess market conditions, and enhance trading performance.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, market developments, and macroeconomic trends affecting the Hong Kong and broader Asian markets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
- More than 10 years of experience in market making, equity derivatives, or a related trading role, preferably in Hong Kong or a major Asian financial hub.
- Strong understanding of warrants, options, structured products, and equity derivatives, including pricing, hedging, and risk management.
- Proven track record of managing trading books and delivering consistent profitability in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in trading platforms and advanced Excel/VBA skills; knowledge of Python, R, or other programming languages is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Hong Kong's financial markets, including HKEX rules and regulations governing market making and derivatives trading.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to make quick, informed decisions under pressure.
