Taikoo Engine Services (Xiamen) Co. Ltd. as a specialist in full overhaul, testing and component repair services for GE90 series engines, our key capabilities including performance restoration, quick-turn shop visits as well as module and component repair services.
Position Description
The General Manager will own full profit & loss responsibility, ensure regulatory compliance, and serve as a critical link between leasing support services and the parent company’s Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services.
What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership
Define and execute the company’s strategic vision and growth plan in alignment with the parent MRO’s objectives
Develop and manage the business model, including asset acquisition, divestment, and partnership strategies
Lead commercial structuring of joint ventures, strategic alliances, and long-term agreements
Develop capital expenditure (CAPEX) and return on investment (ROI) planning strategies to support long-term growth
Operation Excellence
Build and lead a cross-functional team across commercial, technical, and finance domains
Oversee lease portfolio management: sourcing, structuring, delivery, return, and optimisation of engine assets
Ensure strong financial planning, budgeting, investment appraisal, and capital allocation
Maintain robust financial controls, risk management, and transparent reporting to the board
Apply financial modelling and credit risk assessment to support investment decisions
Market Development
Drive client acquisition and relationship management with airlines, OEMs, lessors, and financiers
Monitor market trends and competitive intelligence to inform pricing and investment strategies
Track lease rate factors, maintenance reserve values, and market dynamics
Represent the company at key industry events and forums
Compliance & Governance
Ensure full compliance with aviation regulations, lease terms, and internal governance frameworks
Manage legal, tax, insurance, and audit processes related to leasing operations
Establish governance structures aligned with asset ownership and jurisdictional requirements
Cross-Functional Integration
Align leasing strategies with MRO operations to optimize asset lifecycle value
Coordinate with HR, IT, finance, and logistics to ensure operational support and governance
Collaborate across internal functions to support lease returns and asset management
What You'll Need
1. Functional and other Relevant Experience
At least 10 years of experience in aircraft engine leasing or aviation asset management within a leasing company, OEM, or investment firm
Proven track record in structuring and negotiating lease and financing agreements
Strong foundations in credit risk, financial modelling, and P&L management
Familiarity with MRO operations and their commercial drivers
Experience managing lease portfolios andoptimizing asset utilization
2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aviation, engineering, business, finance, law, or related field
MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred
Experience working across international markets and navigating cross-border complexities
Strong communication skills and fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
