Group Procurement Officer - Food

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for hotel food and beverage purchase request

• Support Group Procurement Manager in procurement of goods & service through obtaining competitive quotes thru tenders from reliable and approved vendors

• This assistant includes coordinating the whole procurement process starting from vendor selection, sourcing, price comparing, negotiating, coordinating approval, and arranging deliveries

• Upon approval and supplier award, assist the manager on contract preparation

• Negotiate the finest offer as appropriate with the best interest in mind for the company

• Well coordination and follow-up with vendors and respective F&B user departments

• Offer best alternatives to chefs if the required items are not available or takes longer lead time

• Assist in managing all relevant data related to food & beverage procurement information such as; price list, items and vendor through system entry

• Coordinate with F&B users and chefs to ensure daily procurement operation on Purchase Requisite (PR) is process through timely

• Maintain close rapport with chefs thru various means of communication mode

• Liaise with all relevant parties relates to food sampling, blind tasting and samples evaluation

• Assist in preparing monthly market price reports and other ad-hoc projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above in Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounting, Hotel / F&B management or other related disciplines is also be considered

• Experience preferably gained from the hospitality, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and hotel, restaurant chains & catering (HORECA) industry

• Good communicators, customer service minded and basic negotiation skills

• Well-organized, independent, ability to multi task well, plan and prioritize well, and at times willing to work under pressure to meet important program / event timeline.

• Willing to take up challenge, problem solving, business sense (good grasp of numbers)

• High integrity with good principles and responsibilities

• Proficient in MS Office applications is a must, other procurement ERP knowledge will be considered advantage.

• Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)

• Junior sales administrator, junior custom service representative from food and beverage trading companies or related, are encourage to apply

• Fresh graduates whom like are sociable and like to meet people; willing to learn, work hard are welcome
