District Health Centre (DHC) aims to provide primary healthcare services including health promotion,
assessment and patient empowerment program to enhance the public awareness on disease prevention
and the capacity in the self-management of health through the public-private partnership.
Information Technology Officer (Eastern District Health Centre)

Key responsibilities:
Provide planning, monitoring, administration and support of the IT infrastructure and system in
the DHC
Manage and maintain firewalls and servers to ensure optimal performance and security
Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including deployment of security solutions,
patch management, software upgrades, and regular updates of IT security policies and rules
across IT infrastructure and systems
Install and configure servers and network infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and high
availability
Perform comprehensive network and system monitoring to resolve issues proactively
Implement and manage data backup strategies and contingency plan to ensure data integrity and
availability
Participate in IT procurement processes, from identifying needs to vendor selection
Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Degree holder in Information Technology, or equivalent
Minimum 5 aggregate years of post-qualification IT experience, of which two years are
providing system and network support services
Hands-on administration of VMWare, Hyper-V, firewall, Windows Server, Google workspace,
Linux, backup and recovery
Experience in IT infrastructure security, mobile device management, and cloud computing
Good multi-tasking, analytical and problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills, and a good team player
Fluent in both spoken and written Chinese and English
Work Location: Eastern District
The successful candidate will normally be appointed on contract terms. Renewal of contract will be
subject to the service/operational needs of the department and the candidate’s performance.
