The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member institute of the Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 2012. It is an innovative, professional and entrepreneurial organisation committed to greening and sustainability. THEi offers over 20 professional "Applied Science-Oriented" undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes across six Academic Departments: Department of Food and Health Sciences, Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering, Department of Sport and Recreation, Department of Hospitality and Business Management, Department of Design and Architecture, and Department of Digital Innovation and Technology. Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and Head of Department and engage in teaching and related learning activities, developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning, and assessment materials, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services of the Music Technology Programme. He/she is also expected to engage in ongoing professional development and research in Music Technology, contributing to departmental initiatives and projects as needed.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree, preferably a Doctoral degree, in Music Technology or a related field; preferably with relevant teaching experience at tertiary level and/or professional experience in music technology fields. Candidate should also have proficiency in music production software and technology, as well as knowledge of current industry practices and trends in music technology.
The candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills; and high proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua. He/she should also fulfil one of the following criteria:
(a)
Mother tongue/language is Putonghua; or
(b)
Received a recognised bachelor’s degree or above of which the Medium of Instruction (MOI) was Putonghua; or
(c)
At least 3 years’ work experience in Mainland China or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or
(d)
Achieved at least Grade 2 Level B in the Putonghua Shuipin Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work.

(2)
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3)
The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
