WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
As a Manager/Senior Manager, you play an essential role in creating change for our clients. You drive our clients’ business as a brand/business steward. You ensure we’re delivering the maximum impact in leading and managing accounts for the agency. And, are responsible for the Golin brand with clients. You are curious, creative, brave, inclusive and collaborative. And, are passionate about driving results. You are relevance obsessed and flawless in your execution. As a Manager/Senior Manager, you own it. You are the day-to-day manager of client programs, deliverables and campaigns. You are the “go to” for your team members as well as subject matter experts. You have a clear understanding of your client’s business and our role in keeping “the train on the tracks.” You are not only reactive but proactive as you anticipate problems and solutions. And, you are sharing your expertise with more junior talent. You provide real-time coaching and demonstrate inclusive behavior to help others succeed. You use your time wisely and prioritize what’s most important.
Responsibilities
- Lead the PR/communications initiatives, managing a combination of clients within our wide portfolio
- Demonstrate mastery of details and coordination by managing program planning – research budgets, manage timelines, participate in brainstorms, manage vendor relationships and track budgets
- Establish a strong rapport with top-tier business and media members, and be able to identify and familiarize with key trade editors and correspondents
- Develop media strategies, and be involved in the development of various materials such as pitch letters, key messages, press release, Q&A etc.
- Learn broadly about client’s business, outside of communications and day-to-day needs
- Work with content and design teams to craft best in class content and media materials
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members while fostering a cohesive team spirit
What you’ll bring
- A minimum of 4 years’ working experience within corporate PR/communications; client servicing/media relations experience in a 4A agency is a plus.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding across all traditional, social, and digital channels and platforms, with an innovative mindset and familiarity with the latest digital/AI technologies to drive cutting-edge strategies.
- Strong local media relations and a proactive approach to leveraging emerging trends.
- Strong written, spoken and comprehension of English is a must, Cantonese and ability to read and write Traditional Chinese is an advantage
- Driven, smart, and a go-getter with a passion for the communication industry.
- Proven account management skills, including strategic planning and budgeting.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented, yet able to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Collaborative work style with the ability to inspire creativity and forward-thinking in teams.
