The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
- To collect data and documents for assessment of various forms of compensation and re-housing
- To conduct various freezing surveys
- To implement project engagement programme to facilitate future acquisition, re-housing, and clearance work
- To conduct site inspections, carry out area measurement of properties, and interview and negotiate with owners, tenants and occupiers for settlement
- To assist in compiling data and records and preparing various documentations
- To perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements:
- Associate Degree or above in surveying, building / housing / property management, or related discipline
- At least 1 year of relevant working experience
- Good communication skills in Chinese and English, preferably with the ability to communicate in Putonghua
- High integrity and initiative
- Knowledge in computer software
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Willing to work outdoors and outside normal office hours
- Possession of a valid Estate Agent Licence will be an advantage
Work assignments will require working outside normal office hours and outdoors.
The appointment will be made on a 3-year fixed-term contract, which may be renewable subject to appointee’s performance, the Authority’s business needs, and other relevant factors.
