Quality Management Assistant (at the rank of Technical Officer/Research Assistant I/II) in the Clinical Trials Centre (Ref: 532629)

Quality and compliance are the key to the success of clinical research projects. HKU-CTC’s Quality Management Team (QMAT) is a professional team dedicated to ensuring research quality and compliance through formulation and implementation of multi-dimensional quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) measures. QMAT is seeking talents who are interested/experienced in practising the quality management profession in the clinical research domain.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist QMAT in performing quality management for HKU-CTC and the clinical study activities under HKU;
- Administer HKU-CTC’s standard operating procedures and other quality documents using its in-house electronic platform;
- Manage folders and trackers;
- Provide administrative and operational support to QMAT; and
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Biological/Medical/Life Sciences, Quality Management or related disciplines;
- Relevant experience is not necessary as comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided, though some experience in quality management and clinical research are added advantages;
- Good coordination, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Commitment to quality and compliance;
- Detail-minded, able to handle multiple concurrent tasks, self-motivated and have a strong sense of responsibility; and
- Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese (proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage).
The appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 1-year temporary basis or 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Appointment on 2-year fixed term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
