Role Introduction
The Senior Accountant will involve assisting in the preparation of financial reports while monitoring the financial performance. The ideal candidate will oversee daily financial activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and collaborate with various departments to enhance financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle month-end closing procedures and preparation of financial reports and analysis;
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable;
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies;
- Collaborate with internal departments to streamline financial processes;
- Manage and mentor junior finance staff, providing guidance and support;
- Assist in the implementation of new systems and software, collaborating with cross-functional teams;
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency within accounting process;
- Assist in the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors;
- Perform other duties or special projects as required.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; semi-finalist in a professional certification program (e.g., HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent) is a plus;
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role;
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis;
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
- Knowledge of Oracle NetSuite would be advantageous;
- Prior experience in system implementation is highly desirable;
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
