PURPOSE
- Support and execute Group Communications strategies.
- Team lead for social and digital media communications and be responsible for establishing and expanding Group social and digital media presence, creating content, managing and responding to social listening and crises
- Team lead for employer brand communications initiatives and partner with Group HR and Brand & Marketing counterparts to create content and be the gatekeeper for all employer brand comms.
- Provide guidance and support as account lead for all emerging markets to influence and lead without authority to ensure all Group and Country communications activities are delivered to expectation and aligned to brand / communication guidelines and business objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Be a key member of the Group Communications team and support Team Lead and members in delivering and executing Group Communications activities and strategies to a high standard.
- Build strong relations with external media agencies to help execute our strategic communications strategies and objectives.
- Be responsible for Group social and digital media growth strategy and execution.
- Build strong partnership with Group HR stakeholders to take our employer brand communications to the next level.
- Be responsible and accountable as comms lead for special projects and initiatives.
- Maintain close relations with local country communications teams in FWD emerging markets to influence, guide and support communications activities.
- Help to develop and maintain strong relationship network with key external media publications and contacts.
- Develop and execute external and internal comms plans, including tactics, new idea generation and media desk outreach
- Interact and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate execution of marketing campaigns
- Manage the creation and deployment of communications and collateral including emails, online ads, websites, print collateral, direct mail, event signage etc. – to ensure they accurately reflect event branding, positioning and key messaging.
- End to end Workshop/Training to BU on LinkedIn usage
- Revamp social media usage and data – including how to attract followers, process, content of posts, chronological order, interaction and engagements. This includes the Group Office Linkedin account. This further expands to other social media content such as Glassdoor, Wikipedia, Twitter/Youtube etc
- Employer Brand – how to leverage social media to attract talents and becoming employer of choice.
- The role will further expand with the requirement of high-quality content, expand group presence, harmonization with BU to ensure external communications that we are all sync under same umbrella as overall 1 brand
- M&A projects communications
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Journalism or Communications preferred.
- At least 8 years working experience in marketing / communications related roles.
- Experience in media, PR agency or in-house communications is preferable.
- Capital markets / M&A transaction communications experience is essential.
- Experience in crisis communications are an advantage.
- In-house corporate communications skills are an advantage.
- Good understanding and knowledge of Asian cultures.
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Network of developed relationships with relevant media and newsroom contacts preferable.
- Excellent to native English writing skills, knowledge of other Asian languages are an advantage but not compulsory.
- Experience in managing corporate / PR events and announcements in single or multiple geographies.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills.
- Experience in investor relations and communications an advantage but not compulsory.
- Digital communications / video production, social media management and events management experience an advantage but not compulsory.
- A sense of humour is mandatory.
